Just 4 years after starting the company, Pidilite established its first modern manufacturing plant in Kondivita Village, Mumbai. The building now serves as the Corporate Head Office.

The name – Pidilite Industries Limited came into existence.

This year saw Pidilite listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

In a remarkable turning point for the brand, 1997 saw Pidilite ascending to the annual Top 15 brands of India in the FE Brandwagon Year Book.

• Pidilite acquired the leading brand of epoxy compounds - M-Seal, setting up a new division, known as the Maintenance Division.
• M Seal brand is in existence since 1989.

Pidilite diversified its product range with the launch of Dr. Fixit - an extensive range of Construction Chemicals. Dr. Fixit was developed exclusively as a waterproofing solution for both existing or under construction homes.

The iconic Fevicol bus ad made its impact across the globe, winning hearts and the Silver Lion at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, 2002.

After 4 decades of unstoppable growth, Pidilite declared a turnover of INR 1,000 Crores, signalling a 1000X growth since inception.

• Pidilite USA acquired businesses and assets of the world-class Sargent Art Inc., an art materials manufacturer in the US for 50 years.
  
• Pidilite acquires Tristar Colman, also known as Colstar, a leader in brushes, colours and canvases.
  
• Pidilite sets up a R&D centre in Singapore, bringing in international talent and expanding its product innovation strategies.

Pidilite Industries was awarded the prestigious “Most Promising Company of the Year Award'' at the CNBC- TV1, 11th Indian Business Leader Awards (IBLA). The award honours the spirit of Pidilitians across the globe.

• Pidilite partnered with Jowat SE to offer a wide range of Thermoplastic Hot Melt adhesives for joineries and industrial consumers.
  
• Pidilite Industries and Fevicol Company Ltd. (wholly owned subsidiary of the Company) jointly acquired a 70% stake in CIPY Poly Urethanes Pvt. Ltd., a leading floor coatings manufacturer.
• CIPY is now amalgamated with Pidilite.

Fevicol, India’s most trusted adhesive brand, celebrated 60 years of operations.

Pidilite acquired Araldite, Huntsman Group’s Indian subsidiary, and a preferred adhesive in India's large stone fixing market.

Fevikwik won the EFFIE Gold for its “Phenko Nahi Jodo” campaign.

• Revenues crossed Rs. 11,000 crores mark.
  
• Litokol SPA Italy and Tenax SPA Italy transferred technology to Pidilite in the Joint Venture, marking a significant milestone in India's stone and ceramic solutions industry.
  
• Pidilite began manufacturing Jowat Hot Melt Adhesives from Germany in India, co-branded as FevicolJowat.
